IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Is Longhorn the same as other grass-fed Beef in big box stores or other farms? No! When you buy from us you are supporting a small farm and keeping your dollars right here in Boone County, Indiana! You also know how the animal is raised and can drive down the road to view it in the pasture. Can't do that from imported meat! Longhorn has very rich Omega 3's next to Salmon and is very heart healthy. It's very lean and grass feeding makes it even leaner. In fact a longhorn roast will cook in half the time as a traditional animal breed. Your not investing in grease but pure Beef when you buy from us! Taste isn't lacking and neither is flavor. You still every thing you need and your cardiologist is happy!! Disclaimer, what you add to it may take away the health factor!

When Do You Have Beef?We are a small farm and process about 5-6 cows a year currently. We book a year in advance the spot's with our processor but don't determine if the animal is ready until about 3-4 months before the date since they are grassfed and it takes them longer to get up to weight. A deposit will ensure you have a spot for an open quarter. This is due once your ready to commit and helps us get going with processing costs since we pay those for our customers!! Added value 300$

How Much Freezer Space is Needed?Remember your not storing fat, so you don't have to get the huge freezer! It depends on what you want! In a quarter beef, we recommend a small freezer as it's about 80-100lbs of pure beef depending on animal size. A small farm box would be OK with 2cubic ft.
